Twee mannen die samen muziek maken in een woonkamer, een met een gitaar en de ander die het lijkt te begeleiden of instrueren.

You are at the center of my method. It's all about taking you further in your guitar playing. The basic skills? You already have them, but the question is how to advance and grow. How can you develop skills and combine pleasure ? As a composer and musician I work with music every day and I know what music can mean and bring about. As a teacher, I know that practice and development is crucial. Making music is something magical, but not magic.

After years of teaching, I have found that many guitarists cannot take their guitar technique and playing any further, usually because they run into the same personal weaknesses on their instrument.

Indeed, these mistakes or wrong moves cannot be fixed once and for all and keep coming back to keep them from improving and taking their playing to another level. One of the main reasons is that the player cannot consciously address these weaknesses, due to a lack of self-awareness, instruction and/or experience.

I have good news. With more than 10 years of experience teaching guitar and music theory on guitar, I have been able to compile a list of recurring problems and their solution(s) to fix them:

- the independence and flexibility of the fingers of the left hand, responsible for quick and smooth movements

- the strength required to hold a barre position on the fretboard and still play notes/chords and their corresponding changes.

- the technique needed to execute a strong tone balanced between attack and body through the fingers of the right hand.

- the use of backbeat techniques while playing a piece on top of it

- the synchronicity between left and right hands to play complex chord changes without losing tone or timing.

(And the list goes on...)

Thanks to my long experience in teaching countless guitarists I have helped over the years, I am willing to share tips and solutions to solve those challenges once and for all.
